Site Maintenance Warden – Florence Springs

Florence Springs is an award-winning, family-friendly luxury lodge and glamping resort located just five minutes outside Tenby. Our site includes more than 30 luxury lodges and 10 glamping units and is the sister company of Heatherton World of Activities.
This is a varied, hands-on warden role with a strong focus on practical maintenance. We are looking for someone with a broad range of handyman skills who can confidently identify problems, troubleshoot issues and carry out general repairs across our accommodation and wider site.
Responsibilities include:

Carrying out a wide range of routine maintenance tasks and on-site repairs.

Identifying faults, troubleshooting problems and finding practical solutions.

Completing general handyman work, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating and repair tasks where appropriate.

Monitoring accommodation and site facilities, identifying work that needs to be completed and taking the initiative to address it.

Organising and contributing to planned and preventative maintenance.

Maintaining the site grounds and outdoor areas.

Looking after the external areas of our accommodation units, shower block and toilet facilities.

Supporting the operation of site waste facilities, including collecting, rotating and presenting bins to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
Hot-tub maintenance includes:

Draining, cleaning, refilling and setting up hot tubs on changeover days.

Testing and balancing water chemistry.
-
Carrying out routine safety and maintenance checks.
-
Identifying and troubleshooting faults to keep the hot tubs operating safely and efficiently.
General warden duties include:

Being a friendly and approachable point of contact for guests throughout their stay.

Assisting with guest queries and resolving practical issues promptly.

Completing late-shift duties on a rota with the other wardens, including guest check-ins.

Helping to care for our three alpacas.
The right person will:

Be aged 18 or over.

Have strong, demonstrable hands-on maintenance or handyman experience.

Be confident and proficient in using hand tools and a range of maintenance equipment.

Be capable of completing varied repair and maintenance tasks to a good standard.

Have a practical approach and strong problem-solving skills.

Be able to diagnose issues rather than relying solely on outside contractors for routine repairs.

Ideally have their own tools, but these will be provided if necessary.

Be organised, reliable and able to prioritise tasks.

Work well within our existing team while also being confident working independently and using their own initiative.

Be friendly, approachable and comfortable speaking with guests.
position offers approximately 25 hours per week across three shifts, with the potential for additional hours depending on your practical skills, experience and ability to undertake a wider range of maintenance tasks.
Due to the nature of the role, Monday and Friday availability is essential, along with Saturday availability during the peak summer holidays.
The hourly rate will be reviewed following a successful probationary period, with the opportunity for progression based on performance, practical ability and the level of maintenance responsibility undertaken.
