Why greener holidays matter

We encourage recycling and composting onsite. All our lighting is automatic, solar powered and low energy  reducing our impact on the local environment. This is another reason why we limit the total number of visitors  and keep the season short.

The bridge that crosses the stream is made from recycled railway sleepers and wood. The compost toilets are also lighted with solar power.

We have invested in many water and environmental saving devices around the site to eliminate waste but still keep your stay enjoyable. 

The Yurts offer low impact on the surrounding enviroment and are removed in  September. This ensures that you are offered a pocket of solitude where you can co-exist with the surrounding countryside, fauna and wildlife.
